Just to show some comparison. The San Diego Sector of the boarder has the high tech wall built that should be across the entire boarder. They staff over 2500 CBP personnel and apprehended 27.5k in 2013. On the other hand Texas does not have the high tech boarder wall. They staff 11k CBP personnel and apprehended 260k in 2013. San Diego has an 11 to 1 apprehension to CBP agent, where as, Texas has an almost 24 to 1 without the bad ass high tech wall to help them out. I think in context Governor Perry is spot on with his assessment. There are only around 18.5k agents on our almost 2000 mile boarder and the high tech wall only goes from San Diego sector to a short way into the Yuma sector only a little over 1/5th of the entire Southern boarder, while the vast majority of those illegals coming across are coming across in the other 4/5ths of the boarder.
