Just want to say that I waited five years to see this movie, thinking a depiction of early onset Alzheimers would be too painful to watch, since I lived through it with my mom. Julie Christie was amazing, but this script was so implausable, and the clipped dialogue from most of the characters was so Hollywood that I had to fast forward through it (and yes, I know it was a Canadian film, people). Even Olivia Dukakis couldnt deliver those lousy lines well. Adaptatation/script writer and director Sarah Polly should be ashamed of herself, and Alice Munroe really missd the mark on this one in my mind (until this far-fetched narrative, I always thought she could do no wrong as a short story teller).
