Just wanted to give everyone a heads up on this seller. She originally listed 2 phones for sale. A used 4s for $75 and a new 4s for $80. After a bunch of interest was shown she jacked the price up to $140 and $100. I drove to Newport News and picked up the new phone from her (which had no charger and looks to be a refurbished phone). She told me it was a Verizon phone. I purchased this phone for my Aunt who has Straight Talk because they can accept certain phones on the bring your own phone program. I called to get the phone hooked up, they stated it would not work. I message her. In the meantime I put the phone up for sale to see if I could get my money back for the phone and charger I purchased for it. After having some interest in the phone, I thought I should call Verizon just to make sure it would work so I didnt rip anyone off like she did me. Verizon said it was not their phone. They called Apple for me. Apple stated this phone was registered to NTelos. So I changed the ad. Just to be sure I called NTelos the next day and they informed me that it may be their phone, but it was not be able to be hooked up.. It would not tell them why. The seller told me that it is for sure a Verizon phone, then tells me she owes over $1000 to Verizon for the phones and early termination fees, ect. (Which the outrageous bill alone would stop connection on the phone).. Now she has completely ignored my messages (though every one of them has been marked seen at a certain time). Now I am stuck with a phone that I gave as a gift and could not activate for her and I have to replace due to someone shady like this! Just wanted to put this out there in case as a heads up for everyone.. Her name is Sarah Reynolds and I picked up on Doe Lane in Newport News. But even if not this seller, make sure to meet at a phone store if possible! Its really sad there are such dishonest people out here.
