Just was hit by a van! So the light to cross the cross walk just went white and I start walking and this guy doesnt see me and starts to turn right; right into me. I end up on the hood of his van and am trying to push with my hands out. I back up and he tries to continue to go forward with me in front of him. I have my arms out and am trying to get him to stop and pull over. He ends up pushing me backwards through the cross walk in the road continuing his right turn. He speeds up a second and I end up on the hood again. I backup and start to grab my phone as others are asking if Im okay and telling me to call 911. I am standing now in front of the van a bit so that he doesnt drive off while calling 911. While on the call he eventually breaks away down the road. On the phone with 911 for a bit and a witness comes over to see if Im okay and says hell wait for the police to show up. I see the van pull into the lot down the road. The cops come by and I tell then what I just told you and the witness independently confirms every detail. The witness says that the first hit seemed like an accident but the second and the pushing me down the road was intentional. The cop goes to the van and gets his story, where he says he didnt see me when he first hit me and that I was being aggressive, which I was after I was hit and kept being pushed back. I was trying to get him to stop and pull over. The cop lets him go and comes back and gives me a case number and says hell write up the report by the end of the weekend and submit it to the traffic division and they will decide to prosecute or not. Im okay as far as I know. A bit shaken up but Ill survive. LOOK WHERE YOU ARE DRIVING PEOPLE!
