Just wasted money and time watching the Holly-weird version of Noah. I should have known that an atheist director would butcher the biblical account. I dont mind a bit of poetic license when putting the biblical account on the big screen. Mel Gibson took some license with the Passion of the Christ, but produced what I thought was a good movie. Not so with Noah, unless you can swallow Noah degenerating into a homicidal maniac or rock monsters called Watchers who were really angels that had screwed up a previous mission. Did I mention that Tubal Cain (the arch villain of the movie) made it into the Ark and then coerced Ham into murdering his dear old dad. Maybe it was the fact that only Shem had a wife when the deluge came. Did I mention the fact that Shems wife gave birth to twin girls? Now everything can be hunky dory except that we have Ham going off to who knows where at the end of the movie all by his lonesome. When it comes to pagans attempting to produce movies about the Bible and faith, they always fail. It might make money, but disseminating lies about biblical figures will never produce a good outcome. For those who have not been introduced to the true story of Noah, read it in Chapters 6-9 of the first book of the Bible, the Book of Genesis. The true story is far better than the Holly-weird version. And remember this too, the story of Noah is one of Gods deliverance from His judgment. It remains both a warning and a guiding light. It warns us that God is Holy and He must judge those who are not, but it offers a biblical type. For God send His Messiah into this world so that we could be saved from Gods righteous judgement. In Messiah, we are transformed from sinners into saints. Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord, Gen. 6:8. Today we too can find Gods amazing grace through the One who fulfilled the promises in the Torah and the Prophets, Messiah Jesus. 750 years before Jesus appeared on earth, the prophet Isaiah foretold that He would be rejected by His own people. And the leadership of Israel did end up rejecting their Messiah, just as Isaiah prophesied they would. 3 He is despised and rejected by men, A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him; He was despised, and we did not esteem Him. 4 Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted. 5 But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed. 6 All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, every one, to his own way; And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all, Isaiah 53:3-6. Dont let yourself be fooled by distortions of the truth. There is only One who said that He was the way, the truth and the life and that no one comes to the Father except through Him, John 24:6. He is the true Ark of safety for mankind. Jesus receives everyone who comes to Him seeking forgiveness and reconciliation. It is not about religion, it is about the Savior and His great love for us. A redeeming and transforming love demonstrated for all to see at Calvary nearly 2000 years ago.
