Just watched #DARKGIRLS a GREAT DOCUMENTARY... As a young girl being dark to me was not cool. I was tormented for being dark. But at 32 yro Ive learned to embrace my beauty as a DARK SKIN WOMAN. Ive learned that to be DARK is to be SPECIAL, We are described as rude, loud and called that FAMOUS WORD so often a B$%*#. My message is to say EMBRACE YOU and not your skin tone. I love being dark. But I love being a MOTHER, a WIFE, and a FRIEND more but I love my mother more for telling me everyday of my life I WAS BEAUTIFUL, SMART and I CAN BE ANYTHING I WANT. So grateful that GOD has given me the EYES to see things beyond my SKIN. So I wanna S/O all my sisters who cant see their own worth. YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL. INSIDE&OUT #DARKGIRLSRISE
