Just watched Gods not dead. It was an eye opener for sure. Ive been so wrapped up in my own issues that somewhere along the lines Ive put my relationship with God on the back burner. I think a lot of the time, its easy for a Christian to forget that God is just as real as the people you see face to face every day. The closest thing I could use to describe it is like, if a father spent his entire life sacrificing for his son and the son was just to preoccupied to ever notice, or to ever take the time to show gratitude. Its a pretty awful feeling. I realize we all go through spiritual droughts and where my faith was strong before.. it seems to be lacking now, but one of the most beautiful things about salvation through Christ is that theres always opportunity with every new day to strengthen that faith, to know Jesus more, and to walk more closely to Him. Also for anyone who thinks Im a crazy Christian for expressing my faith in a public forum..I would simply suggest that they look into it with an open mind and an open heart. True freedom comes from knowing that Jesus died for us all and that Hes gives eternal life freely to those who choose to accept it. It doesnt require an instant, overnight life change...its simply an admission of being an imperfect human (as we all are...especially me lol) and our need for a savior. Romans 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, John 3:16 for God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whoever believes in Him will have eternal life. Romans 10:9-10 That if you confess with your mouth, Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. Romans 8:38-39 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
