Just watched a great Norwegian film that a lot of modern filmmakers could learn some important lessons from. Its called Escape (Flukt) and its an escape/survival thriller set in the 1300s, just after the time of the Black Plague. Its well paced and beautifully shot with no unnecessary dialogue or pointless filler scenes. It has bad guys with clear cut and believable motivations, and a protagonist you actually care about and want to see make it.
