Just when Singapore was celebrating the euphoria of Worker’s Party enormous victory at Punggol East by-election by a landslide margin, a deflated PAP counter-punched with the sickening announcement that they will go ahead with the white paper’s 6.9 million population by 2030. Now, no one is talking about the WP’s infamous victory as all coffee shop talk switched to the 6.9 million population target – a very effective counter distraction indeed!
