Just when my respect for the senate minority leader George Akume was waning for non performance at the hollowed chambers and no visible performance for zone B people,he pulled another stunt at the 50th birthday celebration of mr infrastructure at Govt house before the failed visit of Goodluck jonathan to commission the birthday cake for the celebration.since attendance was strictly on invitation a good friend of mine who was at the event spoke highly of the senate minority leader who attended the occassion and used the opportunity to tell the Governor some home truths which our bread and butter elders and statesmen could not tell him for fear of hunger and sychophancy.he asked mr infrastructure to show any visible project he has done for the past 7years,he shd tell Benue people how much he has collected from Abuja,it surpasses all monies that ever accrued to the state since its inception (and all past administrations put together).he wandered why salaries of civil servants are owed over 4mths and what the slashing of salaries is all about?why are pensioners subjected to hardship of unpaid pensions of over 5mths leading to unnecessary strokes and illnesses for these elders,he wondered why the Gov was acquiring properties unnecessarily as if he is immortal.the senator wondered why there was too much state sponsored killings ?why are all companies in the state sold out thereby mortgaging the future of the state.at this time some yoruba thugs seized the microphone from the former Gov and wanted to attack him if not for the intervention of some senators present.i am surprised that the media shut down this wonderful deed of senator George Akume.
