Just wrote this to Coles Ill be interested to see the response: Dear Coles, in all seriousness, if I had of wanted to be a check out chick I wouldnt have finished year 12 then gone to uni and completed other personal development courses throughout the years. Im so sick of the self serve mantra and the constant aisle changes at the Eltham store and Im seriously thinking of going to Aldi (no self serve 👍) or even Woolies (Eltham always has plenty of registers manned and open!) Why I am not giving a discount when I self serve? Why not offer this for purchases over $30-50? A few percent to get some good will back? Im sure youll ignore this suggestion as your millennials running your site probably wont release that this woman in her late thirties is deadly serious? The self service is frustrating - really have a smooth transaction and then another millennial comes over has to attend to you like its putting them out. (Theres one friendly dark haired girl at Eltham who doesnt do this) I dont want to have to swipe my own groceries and pack them - Ive already been at work all day #inconvenience
