K, boys and girls, weve left Germany behind and have arrived at the Hilton in Old town Prague, CZ. All is well and all of us are healthy and happy. Yesterday evening, while still in Munich, we said goodbye to my sister, Kirsten, and her beautiful family... And mother-in-law, Utee(sp.) Our final impressions of Bavaria are that Nilsa and I could very easily settle down as neighbors to my sister Kirsten in Dachau, Germany. A charming city with nothing to covet any other city. Close enough to Munich to scratch that big city itch; and far away enough to enjoy the pastoral village feel of modern peaceful living. Produce is excellently ripe and tasty as well as the pork, chicken and veal. But the surprise star was the duck... The supremely crispy skin and juicy meat are proof that these Bavarians have been harvesting this bird for centuries. We stayed at the Hotel Kempinski where my TV screen welcomed us to a restful night with an early wake up. While at the Munich airport, Janet opted for a boot shine. Images to follow as Internet is slow and were off to our 1st half-day tour Prague.
