K so Ive given a bunch of short 1 sentence reviews of South Park - TopicsExpress

K so Ive given a bunch of short 1 sentence reviews of South Park Stick of Truth but I guess since I have a few hours before class, I can spare the time for a full one. The game is fantastically animated Ill give it that as more than once I would have people walk in and ask if I was watching the show. The story line is pretty random but it had to be to get as much of the show in it as it could. A short synopsis of the game would be that you are a new kid in south park who is recruited by Butters to join a LARPing war between Cartmans humans and Kyles elves over the stick of truth. The story gets crazy from there but I wont spoil any of it. The game is very very similar to the Old Paper Marios in both gameplay and Combat where new abilities get you new places and the attack and defense system in combat. This was a huge plus, but like Paper Mario, once you clock the enemy attacks, combat becomes a breeze. The game is absolutely hilarious but as many other people have been saying, it gets super easy after a while. Fans of RPG games will quickly find themselves greatly over powered and the final 4 or 5 missions were an absolute breeze as I had already gotten the best weapon in the game. Length wise, I powered through the story and almost all of the side quests in about 11 hours of gameplay so while more hardcore gamers may see it as an overly short story, it fits a lot of fun into such a short time. The number of easter eggs they managed to sneak in was actually amazing though. Remember to check the piece of paper in Stans Room to insure you can get all 100 facebook friends My biggest issues come from stuff Ive already mentioned. The story gets far too easy as you level and each fight is literally getting hit once to learn the enemy attack pattern before commanding the fight. Items are also waay too common. I often found myself maxed on every consumable and had over $500 dollars (The most expensive weapon is like $75). Another peeve is that certain collectables like the Chinpokomon are missable meaning you may need to make multiple playthroughs if full completion is your thing. Pros: Fun Looks Great Funny Story Easy to learn combat Abilities and changeable followers add replayability Cons: Campaign is pretty short Campaign gets very random forcing you to go places just for the sake of having them Combat gets far too easy later in game Missable collectibles Lots of areas that lock Fairly Expensive for a Short game Final Verdict: A fun, raunchy, and overall hilarious game that fits south parks story and provides a good 10-15 hours of entertainment. Simple combat is easy to pick up but gets fairly simple by the end Overall Score: 9/10 would play again
