KASHMIR FLOODS Floods have made the Beautiful Heaven on Earth Kashmir in to hell. The state govt I think couldnt do much as its own machinery the police, their houses and their families were devastated.Even the CMs area was not spared as floods made no discrimination of high and the mighty. It was all water everywhere as no vehicle could reach . No one would have ever imagined of this magnitude of floods may occur in Beautiful Kashmir. It was the INDIAN and military and NDRF teams which had come in force to help out the stranded public. No state police could do much as they were not prepared for these floods. So no blaming game for them. They will chip in once the floods recede. Only thing that matters is the after effects of the flood and diseases which will loom.I hope the New Indian govt should do more along with state govt to restore the glory of this lovely state. I wish all the Kashmiris and other stranded Indians and tourists are safe. I also hope my friend from Anantnag Dr Feroz Ahmed Dar is safe with his family. The floods reminds me of the July 26th 2005 floods in Mumbai. I also hope politicians should not play politics over the welfare of the public during their help. NDTV and CNN-IBN are doing good job in requesting all Indians to help the people of Kashmir. ALL INDIANS RISE TO THE OCCASION AND LETS HELP THEM!
