Ignorance is what makes people say things such as cowards. When terrorists threatened the Hindus in Kashmir, they soon started to go after the Sikhs too. However, as the Khalistan movement still had some fire in it, Sikh leaders such as Mann had come to Srinagar in early 1990 and negotiated a deal with the militants, the crux of which was that both the Kashmiri Azaadi movement and Khalistan movement have the same enemy - India. Selective killings of Sikhs did not take place, announcements from mosques asking for to leave were never made, etc. Now, the Sikhs in Kashmir on many occasions came out shouting Azaadi slogans too. I think the fact they took the side of the majority is what protected them. As long as the bravery element is concerned,i just want to tell that that over the last 2 decades 2/3rds of the Sikhs have run away from Rajouri and surrounding areas in JnK to Jammu and its Sikh dominated suburbs like RS Pura. WHY ?? SLOGANS WERE RAISED LIKE SIKH MUSLIM BHAI BHAI , HINDU KOM KAHA SE AAYI ??
