KB Highway Rescue. We named her Mixxy. If you have been commuting between Bandar and KB highway last week, you may have seen her living on the side of the highway. We named her Mixxy. Mixxy is approximately 10years old or more and were likely abandoned on the highway. Our volunteers tried to be-friend but she was too nervous and did not allow us to touch her. On Saturday, our volunteers managed to get her but it was because she met with an accident with broken hind leg and was in pain. Mixxy did not retaliate this time and was such a sweet gal. Due to her skin disorder, Mixxy might be an abandoned dog. In such cases, dogs required daily grooming, that includes brushing of hair to prevent entangled coat, using suitable dog shampoo and conditioner to ensure healthy skin and coat. If proper grooming is not maintained, skin problem of such would occur. Thus, if you have a toy breed at home or dogs with long hair, good grooming habits are essential to the health and comfort of your dog. Mixxy could also be kept as a breeding machine. Female dog of a certain breed (or in this country, so long it is not Kampong dogs) served as a breeding machine where they would give birth to puppies twice a year. Their puppies would then be sold to generate income for humans. So when the mother dog grows old and can no longer give birth to puppies, they would be abandoned. We are unsure what Mixxy’s life was before and we hope that it would be GOOD for her from here on and have a loving golden years! We would like to raise $800 for Mixxy’s broken leg and skin problem.
