KCHGA NF Expedition 2014: Wet air coming to Himalayas. May be it is monsoon? The first wave hit exactly at the end of our expedition. I had worried about the attempt of Dmitri with Artiom and Adam. Snowfall started 25th May afternoon and kept up to late evening of 28th of May. Mountains were beautiful… but very dangerous. It wouldnt be too smart idea to continue ascents. Dont push your luck! Game over – we get it straight. When we come back it was hard to go in the upper part of the valley, because snow too deep. Just below the 4200-m we got finaly a solid terrain for feet. After long time on the black and wite spice, now we have seen colours - all was bright, very pleasing for eyes. I felt breath of Life. In first villages we seen markets , and Taplejung was full of bananas and apples. As I gave information from our friend Rodolphe Popier – there is many ascents from The North Face of Kanchenjunga earlier. 44 climbers in 13 reaching goals. The last one summated twelve years ago – in 2002 Dan Mazur expedition. Fortunately I stood on the top of Kanchenjunga in that spring at the first time. Now… for me happened adventure by the steps of very positive and respectable mountaineer Juanito Oairzabal. He did it twice – from South and North actually. Only four members of KCHGA NF Expedition 2014 are in Katmandu now. Alex Txicon is in Basque country . We having funny and very pleasent time - meeting some good climbers and then we went partying :). 06th June our team will leave Himalayas. And we have in plans next interesting project.
