Local media and television coverage has Peter MacKay MP reporting that his government gave the mill 28 million under the Green Transformation Program in 2011. I am assuming he may be referring to the disbursement of funding at that date, but it is creating a diversion from the following fact: ECFM.CA - East Coast FM - Archived News - Friday, October 16, 2009 - Central Nova MPPeter MacKay made the announcement of 28.1 million dollars at the kraft pulp mill in Abercrombie Thursday. Question arrises as to why, from that day on, were the wheels not put in motion by the mill to obtain quotes from companies for the precipitator and a contract awarded prior to disbursement? From 2009 to the proposed spring 2015 for installment? Nearly 6 years, seriously, to have a piece of equipment installed ? Where is the accountability and justice for the community with this ongoing pollution?
