KENNY G IN CHINA: The jazz musician Kenny G drew the opprobrium of Chinese authorities when he tweeted a photo of his visit to a protest site in Hong Kong. Kenny G, who is massively popular in China, deleted the photo shared on Twitter, and posted a statement to Facebook seeking to clarify his position. I was not trying to defy government orders, he wrote. I am not supporting the demonstrators as I don’t really know anything about the situation and my impromptu visit to the site was just part of an innocent walk around Hong Kong.
