KENYA: Anglican Church Archbishop, Eliud Wabukhala, has passionately appealed to the International Criminal Court (ICC), to unconditionally drop all charges facing three Kenyans; President Uhuru Kenyatta, his Deputy, William Ruto, and radio Journalist, Joshua Arap Sang’. Speaking yesterday during the consecration and enthronement of Rev Julius Wanyoike, as Anglican Bishop of Thika Diocese, Wabukhala noted that Kenya had healed after the 2008 post election violence and Kenyans have moved on. He said the trials of the three Kenyans by ICC was opening up fresh wounds and taking Kenya back in the dark days of 2008. Wabukhala noted that Uhuru, Ruto and Sang’ have already learnt their lessons from the 2008 post poll chaos just as the rest of Kenyans and should be set free to continue with their work. “The three suspects are just a representation of Kenyan people and I appeal to the ICC Judges to allow the victims to come home and continue with the leadership obligation that Kenyans bestowed to them, because they have already learnt their lesson” said Wabukala.
