KIPL: Join us at First Unitarian Church (809 S. Fourth Street) on December 9 at 6 pm for an interfaith service and vigil, praying for success at the Dec 1-12 Climate Conference in Lima, Peru. This important conference is crucial to the success of an international agreement on reducing carbon that will be sought in Paris in 2015. Representives of various faith traditions will offer prayers or meditations and music will be provided by singer, song writer Stuart Wicke. Bring a candle or LED light for the vigil that will be held outside towards the end of the service. One hundred and ninety countries will send delegates to the conference in order to work out the details of a possible agreement in Paris. With the recent China and U.S. agreement on carbon reductions there is hope for unprecedented success at Lima.
