KIPP Summit in San Lorenzo is now accepting applications for next school year. I believe it is 100 5th graders and whatever number 6th & 7th grade spots that become available. They do not take 8th graders. Go to their web site and find the link for the application. They recommend filling out the on-line application. It must be completed toward the end of January - the dates are on the KIPP web page. All students are selected by a random lottery which will be open to the public (but it is done via computer). There is no preference put toward applications that are turned in first or last. It is random. Remember to check the due dates on the KIPP web page! They do not take late applications.
