KITTY LITTER: I walked around the Earth a thousand times in my mind before opening the gate to the car port and drawing makeshift runes in the oil soaked kitty litter on the breast plate of my ever glimmering nightmare. I should probably clean this shit up, but I think Ill let it soak in a little further. I still feel dirty. I scrubbed my knuckles for five minutes last night, but when I drew in the mornings first puff, I could smell the disgust I promised myself I would force out- Im having a hard time getting all the smoke out- much less the carcinogens tucked away beneath the reach of flesh, or its master. The broom handle feels brittle. The litter smells sweet. I may just be getting used to the smell of stitched up mistakes- and perfumed lies.
