KL Fly Fishing Shop (klflyfishingshop) Situated in the shady area of Ukay Bistari, unlocked in the conjoined residential apartment in Residensi Bistaria; this is one unique “fly shop”, if you’d like to call it as such. But it is actually not; it’s merely a stock display infrastructure – an extension to the successful online fly shop. Albeit some ol’ snobs in the industry who never acknowledge us as a proper fly shop but who cares. We might not have all the bells & whistles to be near as “complete” as other fly shop(s) around, but we are proud to say that we are the ONLY exclusive fly fishing shop in Malaysia; online or offline. Specialize it! So you won’t find a shallow-spooled spinning reel or new-age Japanese lures in our shop – which is a good thing. We can’t guarantee full inventory at all time, and 7 out of 10 items you want might be out of stock, but we can assure that you’ll have a very friendly, homely & comfortable experience with us – so much so that at one point you’d probably forget that it is actually a sales premise (and also that you’re there to actually buy something). Voted Best Fly Fishing Hangout Place 2013 by Drake Magazine – NOT. Although many our friends would vouch for that statement. Open 9AM til 6PM - and we sometimes have clients coming over at 4 in the morning. 7 days a week. Free Wi-Fi. (And sometimes free food & drinks). Appointment-basis only. Let us know beforehand when you’re coming over, and we’ll fix it all ahead of your visit. And yeah, don’t forget to bring lotsa cash. (HA!) Good people, good food, good spirit – what more would you want from a “fly shop”. (Oh yeah, ready-stocked tying materials would also help a lot).
