KNOWING GOD PART 6 Ephesians 1:18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know WHAT IS THE HOPE OF HIS CALLING, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, Colossians 1:27-29 to whom God willed to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, WHICH IS CHRIST IN YOU, THE HOPE OF GLORY. We proclaim Him, admonishing every man and teaching every man with all wisdom, SO THAT WE MAY PRESENT EVERY MAN COMPLETE IN CHRIST. FOR THIS PURPOSE ALSO I LABOR, STRIVING ACCORDING TO HIS POWER, WHICH MIGHTILY WORKS WITHIN ME. Romans 8:29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate TO BE CONFORMED TO THE IMAGE OF HIS SON, THAT HE MIGHT BE THE FIRSTBORN AMONG MANY BRETHREN. John 1:12 But as many as received him, TO THEM GAVE HE POWER TO BECOME THE SONS OF GOD, even to them that believe on his name: There was an argument on the issue of God’s predestination from an unbeliever as I tried to bring him to Christ, his argument was, “if God predestined you to be a child of God and destined me to be a sinner, then why should God hold me accountable, after all I’m only manifesting what has been ordained” I answered him, ”Well, the one powerful truth that damages this lying argument is this, God created every human being with the right to make choices!” I love the word right, because it is the exact word used in in John 1:12 …to them gave he RIGHT (Right, Means access to do or authority to do or become) or POWER (Power means; the ability, strength, and capacity to do something)…so in other words when I receive Jesus Christ as my Lord and personal savior, I’m given access right through a door to begin a journey to having a relationship with God, I can say this or even shout this, over and over again and never be tired, “The Almighty God wants a relationship with you”…this is the problem many remain at the door by saying “Only Believe” without realizing the danger of such deceptive lies. Lets us look at the root Greek word from which Hope was derived from, the Greek word ELPIS, which means to have an expectation of what is sure, an expected standard, “to anticipate … with pleasure.” ….. So God has a Pleasurable expectation when He called you in Christ Jesus (Expectation means a standard of conduct expected by or of somebody);……. What is this Expectation and why does HE have this Expectation? God’s expectation is for you to be conformed to the Image of Jesus Christ, HIS First Begotten, that Jesus Christ will be the firstborn among many children. God being your Father is not a religious statement we make, it is a True reality, God wants to have a relationship with you and Why does God have this Expectation?;Christ in you, He has done everything needed for you to access HIS GRACE to not only relate with Him but to be Holy as He is.....…You have the right to choose whether to meet His expectation or not but you don’t have the right to avoid the consequences of any choice you do make…....This may be a hard bone to crack but in Ephesians Apostle Paul had to pray for the new believers in Christ to catch this Truth! So what is our responsibility? Like Paul said in Colossians chapter 1,FOR THIS PURPOSE I LABOR STRIVING ACCORDING TO HIS POWER, WHICH MIGHTILY WORKS WITHIN ME …..…So let me ask what God asked me, ”I have given you my Grace, My Holy Spirit is in you, Will you meet my Expectation?”…Think about it and say a heartfelt prayer to God on this matter.
