Tuesdays and Thursdays 8 years old and up All skill levels $30 / lesson, payable in advance per term Limited space, so contact us today: 250-782-9325 kpacinfo@gmail What students can expect: •Professional and energetic instruction from someone who is trained in vocal anatomy and pedagogy, as well as in song interpretation •Diction lessons in four major languages, if you count English (singing in English is an art in itself!) •Personalized lesson and repertoire planning •Introductory and advanced instruction on reading music •Multiple performance opportunities •Access to sheet music and guidance for song selection •A positive introduction to a whole world of possibilities as a singer! Classes consist of 15 to 20 minutes technique training followed by the student’s choice of repertoire songs. Technique consists of breath support, posture, vowel formation, body energy, and clear sound production. These techniques will then be reinforced through the repertoire practice. (The foundation of technique training applies to all singing, regardless of style.) Repertoire consists of some classical pieces. Students are encouraged to learn songs in Italian, French, and German (as well as English) as these languages have clarity of vowels and consonants not found in English and help create finer technique. Sheet music provided. Students may also choose songs from popular genres if desired; student must provide sheet music. Introductory instruction on reading music will be provided as needed. Students are required to bring a bottle of water, binder for sheet music, and a pencil to each lesson.
