[KPGovt Demands Expulsion of Afghan Refugees from Federal Govt] The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government on Friday set a month’s deadline for “expelling Afghan refugees” and demanded the status of a separate province to the tribal areas. “We no longer can afford the refugees and will expel them after a month,” KP government spokesman Mushtaq Ghani briefed the media after the cabinet meeting, which was chaired by KP Chief Minister Pervez Khattak. A roadmap would be worked out for keeping the Afghan refugees out of urban cities. “A month later, we will expel if they are not moved to rural areas,” the cabinet decided, according to the spokesman.
