From the record so far, Nigerias strike dated back OF ASUU STRIKE IN NIGERIA: 1999---5 months 2001---3 months 2002---2 weeks 2003---6 months(ended in 2004) 2005---3 days 2006---1 week 2007---3 months 2008---1 week 2009---4 months 2010---5months and 1 week 2011---3 months(ended in 2012) 2013---to 2014 which was about six month. Prof Fagge stood his ground that the facilities amd remuneratioms in the University deameans our status as a nation compare to our wealth. Only the professionals can move there profession. this prof Fagge have demonstrated. that a man has phd does not make him run a treasury prudently than me with SSCE, that a man is the Chairman of a local govt, a coumcillor, a member of the state executive council, state house of assembly, a judge, IG, at national assembly does not make him wiser than you, okay it does not guarantee they will make a policy to better mine or your life. From Prof. Fagge I think all other professuonals should learn, especially Teachers in the primary amd secondary, they built foundations for university to set, but they are suffering, they are not honored, their Union is something else, who will safe you? the one that lays the golden that is yet humiliated, who will safe you? Why are your union executives so callous and feeble? who will stand to fight for you amd when? Every teacher, as soon as you start work should be entitled to at least a 3bedroom flat on a plot of land with a posh car, of course, your daily stress to impact on student cannot be quantified. But once your union held a close door meeting wt govt so your demand ended enveloped, haaa! Do you know how many close door meetings Fagge held, yet he stood his demand.
