KURAMA –A PEOPLE NATURALLY BELONGS TO GURARA STATE By Thomas Garba I see a down full of a great people by her kings men, a ploy initiated and instigated by evil and mischievous planners to kill the younger generation of kurama people, a mortgage arrangement to sale us all to a kingdom of tyranny and selfish ideology of the Zazzaus. Let’s all and sundry of the Kuramas consider it critically they argument of our kings men not to agree with the idea and love of the Kaduna elders consultative Forum to must have thought it wise to fight a battle that naturally we can’t dare to fight it alone forever. My kinsmen are having the full knowledge of all the downsizing and sidelining of the kurama people by not letting them have the government representation of what is suppose to be ours. We have been over shadowed by the wicked shackles of powers manipulations of the Zazzau Emirate Friends don’t nail me yet please read the few synopsis of news paragraph below with genuine interest, you may agree with my judgment that; our elders are not carrying the general view of a common kurama man or woman. With a stout believe in the leadership of Mr. Peter Ndochie to be spear heading the federated kurama association whose dynamic qualities of leadership earned him a general loyalty of the entire kurama people, my reigning king Dr Ishaku Damina may you live long to see all the simple mistake of you not supporting the Gurara state to be created KURAMA ELDERS WANTING A CONCESUS AGGREEMENT TO CEDE UP TO A NEW KADUNA STATE (culled: punch) A group, under the auspices of Federated Kurama Association, on Thursday in Abuja called on the Senate Committee on the Review of the 1999 constitution to ignore the submission made by Kaduna Elders Consultative Forum for the creation of a ‘New Kaduna State.’ According to the group, for any decision to be made on key sensitive issues that border on the people of Kurama, certain factors, including the history of the people and their land, should be taken into consideration. Other factors that should be considered, FKA stated, should include consultation with the relevant body in Kurama land; respect for Kurama culture and traditions and objective consultation with political office holders in Kurama. The President of FKA, Peter Ndochi; General Secretary, J.B. Ladan; and Grand Patron (Kurama Chiefdom), Dr. Ishaku Domina, who all spoke with journalists in Abuja said contrary to what the KECF said, the agitation for the creation of ‘New Kaduna State’ had not received the consent of all Kurama people. They said, “Looking at the composition for the demand for the creation of New Kaduna State, one wonders if the composition actually is a true reflection of the yearnings and aspirations of the people. The submission does not address what may be considered as a developmental issue that will impact on the socio-political, economic and human capital programmes that are key to growth and stability. Rather, the emphasis is on promoting the Zazzau Emirate. “We urge the Kaduna Elders Consultative Forum to, as a matter of objectivity and seriousness; always consult with relevant bodies that hold the corporate unity and existence of the people in the local government.”Mr Ndochie said. It’s in view of the above news story I want to draw the attention of the concern Kurama youth stand and agitate the support of a new Kaduna state where our voice and view with be properly heard, where we can have a full sense of belonging and a place to call our home. To me ceding off the entire Kurama land will be of great befit seeing the potentials advantages that lay ahead of us to acclaim when we being carve out of the old Kaduna state. We have so many cultural and ethical commonalties that bind us together right from ages past up till now, there is going to be economy boom when harness properly by our people who are predominantly farmers with vast arable lands that will boost our people’s economy. I call on all the well meaning Kurama people and the good people of southern Kaduna people to make it as a matter of duty and urgency to have a dogged spirit to combat all the fight that is coming from all angles and direction that the new Kaduna creation is a futile fight that cannot be a reality of a dream.”As a young let’s endure all hard ship to fight the good fight of faith” To my able leaders, the grand patron kurama federated association the Bugwam Kurmi 2nd Dr Ishaku Damina and Mr Peter Ndochie. I do always have my unwavering loyalty to you, not hesistate to pledge my solidarity to you, I am saying to allow a view of majority to compel you to pursuit a cause that is widely and generally accepted by majority of the kuramas. AKURMI SANO DOTE WACIYE TATI NI UBOSA! LONG LIVE KURAMA KINDOM!! LONG LIVE KADUNA STATE!!!
