Kajiado Governor David Nkedianye suffered a huge blow on Wednesday after all his nominees to the public service board were rejected. The county assembly unanimously rejected the list, citing lack of transparency in their appointment. County representatives also rejected four of the nine candidates considered for the executive committee. Dr Nkedianye had earlier made it clear that his office had outsourced credible firms to interview the applicants for the various positions. This comes as a setback to the governor, whose party, ODM, has two members against the Jubilee Coalition’s 22. However, the members of the county assembly said that their decision to reject the names was not political and demanded credibility in the appointments.
