Kamanjab in Namibi; Kamanjab is an important town in the region and for the traveller a cross road where you will find essential facilities. The town itself is nothing special, but the surrounding area is scenic with beautiful, rugged mountains, and has a lot to offer. There are Bushmen rock engravings as well as a Himba orphanage village in the vicinity. Although Kamanjab is a frontier town and has got the only re-fuelling station in this area, it is advisable to bring all food and items required for camping in remote parts of Damaraland and Kaokoveld along from larger centres.
