Kang and Hyungsik have been cast in upcoming SBS drama “Heirs” (translated title), according to Kang’s agency FNC Media and Hyungsik’s agency Star Empire Entertainment on Wednesday. Kang will take on a character named Yoon Chan-young, one of the leading male characters with a good nature and happy personality. His bandmate Jung Yong-hwa had originally considered playing the part. Hyungsik will depict on a character named Cho Myeong-soo, the son of a rich family who always runs away from his father who wants him to inherit the family business. This is what has kept him from taking on drama “Sun of the Lord” (translated title) starring Kong Hyo-jin and So Ji-sub that premieres in late July. An official with Hyungsik’s agency told TenAsia over the phone that the singer-actor is set to join the drama’s recording session in the United States early September, after ZE:A’s comeback to the music scene early August. Among the idol-filled cast, Kim Woo-bin of “School 2013” has also confirmed his participation in the drama as a character named Choi Young-do, a gifted man with a genius-level I.Q. but uses it as a means of harassing his friends. Written by acclaimed scriptwriter Kim Eun-sook of “Gentleman’s Dignity” and “Secret Garden,” the upcoming drama is set to hit airwaves this October. Reporter. Lee Hye Ji [email protected] Editor.
