Kano State governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso cannot be impeached like Adamawa Governor, Murtala Nyako because he has been a grassroots politician par excellence, andabove all he is carrying everybody along in the running of the state, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress Party (APC) in Kano, Engineer Atiku Ahmed Dungurawa has said. Kwankwaso Can’t Suffer Nyako’s Fate – LEADERSHIP In an interview with pressmen in Kano, Dungurawa said Kwankwaso aligned himself with the members of the state assembly and the people in his all inclusiveness leadership style. LEADERSHIP reports that 34 out of 40 of the members of the Kano State House of Assembly are APC members while the remaining six are PDP. He said the governor is carrying the legislators in the state House of Assembly along and always asked for their inputs in running the state and projects execution. “They cannot treat Kwankwaso like Nyako; I’m telling you he is going to complete his tenure successfully, by God grace, whether they like it or not,” he said. He faulted the reports that Kwankwaso was opposed to President Jonathan in view of his presidential ambition, saying Kwankwaso did not need to fight the president to get the support of all Nigerians. “Governor Kwankwaso is not fighting Jonathan; he is only concerned about the events in the country. I advise President Jonathan to listen more to people like Kwankwaso who are giving him unbiased advice,” he said. Dungurawa who was the pioneer dean, Faculty of Engineering, Kano State University of Science and Technology, Wudil ,said the landslide victory recorded during the last local government election would be repeated in 2015. “Believe me, whether they like it or not, APC will defeat PDP in Kano come 2015 as it did during the local government election in the state,” he said. ”This is why the competition for APC tickets is very stiff,” he said. Dungurawa who is an aspirant for the Dawakin/Tofa, Tofa and Rimin Gado federal constituency of Kano state said if elected in 2015 he would make his area the food basket of the country. He said he would also enhance the popular Dawanao international grains market in his constituency.
