Karen Carpenter singing in virtually a A Capella -the Beatles classic Ticket To Ride while playing her Drums ~~~~ Everybody who`s a Romantic at Heart,has their first Love,in those young learning Yearsof Life,Love and lesson to be learned in our Male and Female relationships ..We sang songs of our youthful exuberant young Iives,like -Graham Nash`s Songs For Beginners; With those first innocent, tender .in dramatically powerful,emotional moments,that simple Open,Innocence when All the Walls were down to your Heart and Mind in that sweetest resonance of Love`s Rapture ..And with that first One,in a long term Relationship You truly believed in Love,and the Power of Love ..That Love could Change the World _ because You were so intoxicated,just lost Head over Heels in that elated feeling ..infatuated in a hypnotic,bewitching Love..such a Natural Drug of Choice ~~ And,at Least..for Me - The Carpenter`s Music,with the musical Brother & Sister team ,a Sibling`s dynamic Duo,with their whole long series of Hit`s top Ten,Pop-Rock songs ..They were a Movie Song Track playing in the Background to my first late 1960`s -early 1970`s learning and lovin golden era of those sweetest of Memories- unforgettable first Teenage experiences of real Love and that exciting sense of Romance ...Hey,I may have been deeply, truly in Love with that first One..but secretly I must now Confess ~~ I also had a teenage crush on the cool Drummer in the Band with Karen Carpenter and that --Voice She always sang lead on the Drums(like the Dave Clark Five) with Richard her brother singing backup in close family tight Harmony.. as Richard multitracked her Voice,showcased and so displayed in soft layers of a sensitive Woman`s Voice contrast with his own more masculine,male vocal Harmonies ...All I can still manage to Say again ..to conjure Up quickly for words( I still remember first thinking way back then When I first heard Karen Carpenter in the golden Music Summer of 1969,~ is Wow...For,in 1970`s Rock & Pop Music era..Karen,when compared to her female Songbird Rock contemporaries ..All making Fm Radio Hit Tunes..Karen Carpenter had that extra,sheer quality of Voice,in her voice`s pure sweetly feminine Tones,a deeply resonant, female vocal timber ..And her professional ability,the Experience to show those Vocalist nuances of a emotional inflection of Feelings..She was far above the typical depth of all the other young female Hit Wonders..those Pop & Rock singers back then..So Today hearing Her again..brings Back those special Memories..like old forgotten Childhood Toy`s You magically find again one special morning in your Dusty Attic of Memories..playing those Carpenter Tunes makes Me remember that special Feeling of a first One ...and Yes,I admit to getting a little Sentimental and Misty eyed hearing her beautifully sweet Voice once More ..`Cause You never Forget, your first One..
