Katelyn and I go to McDonalds in front of the Leland Walmart... We get fries and tea... We see a homeless man (Ive seen him MULTIPLE times there) sitting on the corner at the stop sign.. Katelyn tells me she wants to give him her fries.. I ask are you sure she says, yes mama its the right thing to do.. So we circle around, she rolls her window down, tells him they are hot fresh fries and she wants him to have him.. He thanks her and says God Bless, we drive off.. We park to walk inside Walmart (note: I can see him from my car where we parked)... Katelyn and I sip a little tea before shopping till we drop and we watch said homeless man get up from his seat at the stop sign and THROW THE FRIES TO THE BIRDS!! Her poor lil face was devastated.. She says, mama did he really just do that?! I thought he was hungry?! Needless to say the lesson of giving to others and helping people when in need immediately switched to the fact that she only has to answer for the choices SHE makes! Her kind deed was noted and thats all she needs to worry about.. His choices have no affect on her or her blessings to come.. All I can do now is hope this doesnt discourage her from helping people in the future! :/
