Kathy Young: Its police sympathizers and sycophants like YOU who perpetuate the ongoing crisis between minorities and the police. Im really curious to know just how eager YOU would be to thank the police if YOUR kids were being PROFILED and MURDERED by these SAME cops? There isnt a SANE person in this country, Black or white, who believes that ALL cops are bad. Black people, on the other hand, do believe that some of these cops are racist and bigoted against Black people, and recent events, as well as HISTORY, bears us out. THIS is the reality that white people like you REFUSE to acknowledge or address; this total dichotomy in the way the police approach and deal with Black people as opposed to white people. Even in the face of OVERWHELMING evidence that confirms our position, white people like you continue to DENY and RATIONALIZE your asinine, obsequious beliefs that some of these cops are doing no wrong and that any attempt to rein them in is an attack on the cops. Im not going to try to convince you of the validity of my statements. What I will leave you with is an age-old addage that has been passed down since time immemorial: Power CORRUPTS and absolute power corrupts ABSOLUTELY.
