Kaylas first round of immunotherapy ends at about 2 am in the morning. Her labs are still somewhat whacky. But the pain has been more manageable today and her BP and sodium are better. The side effects from the pain meds have continued to amuse me all day. Sweet little thing is in a totally different world most of the time, but it seems to be a very happy world. We hope to head home Saturday, enjoy two weeks at home and then back at it on April 27. Everyone has problems and everyones problems and struggles are real. I try hard, and sometimes fail miserably, to remind myself that even though, in my mind, your bad day wasnt as bad as my bad day, it was still a bad day to you, and your reality is different than my reality. But being up on the 8th floor is always a wake up call to me. Be thankful for the time youve been given with your kids. Love them as hard as you can. Take in very second. Today I was reminded again... Someone elses reality today is harder than mine. My complaints tonight pale in comparison to than those of some of my friends. I want my child to be pain free today. Some people just want to hold, cuddle, and touch their child again.
