Keane joins Wigan on loan Manchester United and Wigan Athletic have agreed a loan deal for Will Keane until New Years Day. The 20-year-old striker has fought back to fitness after missing the entire 2012/13 season with a cruciate knee ligament injury suffered while playing for Englands Under-19s side in May of last year. Keane, who made his one first-team appearance for United on New Years Eve in 2011, has scored four times since returning to action for the Reserves and Under-21s this season, and also trained with Englands Under-21 squad earlier this month. He will join fellow United striker Nick Powell, on a season-long loan, in Owen Coyles squad. Meanwhile, Keane’s twin brother Michael has sealed a temporary switch to Derby County ahead of Thursdays deadline and the siblings could well be in direct opposition at the weekend in the Championship.
