Keeping the message of Christ simple is important. I Corinthians 1:18, 27-29, The message of the cross is foolish to those who are headed for destruction! But we who are being saved know it is the very power of God. Instead, God chose things the world considers foolish in order to shame those who think they are wise. And he chose things that are powerless to shame those who are powerful. God chose things despised by the world, things counted as nothing at all, and used them to bring to nothing what the world considers important. As a result, no one can ever boast in the presence of God. We have a tendency to complicate the message of Christ because we feel inadequate, fearful or that we need to make it grander than it is to impress the lost. Just keep it simple. God will use the simple message to confound the wise, to shame the powerful and to bring to nothing the things the world sees as important. Simple message of Christ: He was born Grew up Went through all the same problems we face today Gave His life up and took our place Died a horrible death so that every sin can be forgiven He rose from the grave and is alive today Every person can have this forgiveness of sin. Simple but powerful! We are here to tell the Good News! Lets boast about Jesus!
