Kelli Giddish- From Forsyth County to SVU- Law Order stardom html(WXIA) — Many don’t need to be told, the premier of Law Order: SVU airs for 2 hours in its Wednesday evening premier on 11Alive. One of the show’s stars talked with 11Alive’s Ted Hall, and said she grew up watching 11Alive. She told Ted she didn’t remember the name of her favorite anchor, but she recalls a “gray-haired balding guy.” PHOTOS: Kelli Giddish was born and raised in Cumming. She attended Forsyth Central High School where she played softball and took part in theater.nbsp; “I was never a cheerleader,” she said.nbsp; She is used to winning, with region and state acting competitions. Just after she moved to New York, she took a soap opera roll and has now moved into “Law Order: SVU.” nbsp; Giddish took a loss two years ago when her vehicle chase got cancelled. She said she was bummed, but kept going. That is her advice today. “I mean not being scared of the word no,” Giddish said. “You know, like when people tell you no, you keep on going.” “The fans are so loyal,” Giddish said, “as we tell really horrible stories about people doing bad stuff to other people.” SVU requires a lot of work over the heavy load of 24 episodes per year. When time off does come, it’s not unusual for Giddish to come back to northern Georgia and hang out in Cumming.nbsp; “I was hiking a month or two ago with a friend who I went to high school with up in New York,” Giddish said.nbsp; Her friend, she said told her they both were doing what they always wanted to do.nbsp; “That’s always something to be proud of,” Giddish said.nbsp;
