Ken Miyamoto The Flaherty Luvara Law Group, LLP. is proud to announce that Mr. Ken Miyamoto will be joining us as Of-Counsel beginning February 1, 2014. Born in Tokyo, Japan, Yoshiaki (Ken) Miyamoto graduated from Albany Law School and is admitted in New York since 2001, having practiced law in Pennsylvania, Ohio and New York. A former resident in Pittsburgh, he lived in Shadyside and served the people in Washington County as a staff attorney of Southwestern Pennsylvania Legal Services (the first Japanese-native ever working for legal services) until 2005. Since then, as a Japanese-native attorney experienced in the American legal system, he has been providing much needed services to the Japanese community in navigating the complexities of the legal system at federal, state and local levels. Ken represents Japanese individuals and corporations in New York and across the United States, counsels businesses and entrepreneurs from Japan, and provides pro bono services to the Japanese American Association of New York and other community organizations in civil, criminal and administrative matters including immigration, business transactions, international divorce and custody, criminal defense and litigation, among others. Now Ken is joining Flaherty Luvara Law Group, LLP as Of Counsel, bringing back to the Japanese community in Pittsburgh his extensive expertise and one-stop shop approach where no legal and business problems are too large or small to be handled by the team of professionals at Flaherty Luvara Law Group, LLP.
