Kendrick Recruitment are currently looking for a Lodge Manager for a luxury safari lodge in the Waterberg, in Limpopo. The Lodge manager will oversee all the lodge operations and report directly to the General Managers. You will need to be an all rounder in the industry and be able to assist in all departments as and when required as well as having an influencing role on the day to day runnings of departments. This role will also involve the training of staff members. The minimum requirements are as follows: Matric A relevant Hospitality qualification Min 5 years’ experience in a lodge based environment 2 of which in a management role (Lodge Manager/Camp Manager) Experience within Food & Beverage would be preferred Basic finance and HR knowledge Driver’s License and own transport Exceptional guest interaction ability Standard lodge IT skills Speaking a foreign language would be beneficial otherwise English/Afrikaans would suffice Honest person with high sense of integrity Excellent organizational and administrative skills High sense of Responsibility Excellent communicator and listener Hands-on-approach Self-motivated Flexible attitude and willing to take on tasks as necessary Realistic expectations of bush life Well groomed and a good sense of personal hygiene A sense of fun and understanding of the hospitality way of doing things Clean criminal record Sober habits The salary on offer is R 11 000 a month and includes accommodation.
