Kepler-10c is the newly discovered mega-Earth planet. Its body is predominantly rocky and it is 17 times larger than our home planet. It was discovered by NASAs Kepler Space Telescope and its known that the planet orbits a star that is similar to the sun, though nearly twice as old, and located about 560 light-years away in the constellation Draco. But why call it mega-Earth? Only because its rocky? Its nothing like our Earth.
