Kesava Priya Devi Dasi Yesterday, while distributing books, my husband met a young lady in a weelchair. She was very appreciative and grateful, too, and immidiately handed him 100$ for a Bhagavad Gita. She explained that she had met with an accident one year earlier and that she has lost all of her friends after her beautiful body had beccome disfigured and she had been confined to a weelchair. Since her eyes were also injured she could not even read but she said that she was grateful to God for the accident since she had realized the true nature of the world and that she had afterwards developed a desire to become a nun and devote her life to God.She said : I just hope that He will kindly restore my eyesight, so I will be able to read this wonderful book. We have a very nice follow up program here in Copenhagen for people we encounter on sankirtan or otherwise and who are interested in keeping in touch with us. We always ask them for their email adress and phonenummer and ask them if they could be interested in receiving a monthly electronic newsletter for free with information about our programs and festivals and so many people agree to this. after a week one devotee calls them up personally and invite each person for an introductory program just designed for newcomers! ! It is a rather new program and not so many persons have shown up yet for these programs but in general we have a few people visiting us and we strongly believe that it will gradually increase as we become more mature to take care of each person who viist the temple
