Kevin Ross, Ive been thinking long and hard about this the past few days. But before I brought this suggestion to your attention I wanted to make sure that I could put in the time necessary to help bring this to fruition in case you say yes, lets do this! My suggestion, lets take small gesture BIG SMILE to the next level. Lets take this wonderful grassroots group you have created to a legitimate Nonprofit Organization (NPO). It would be a membership organization and every single person in our group now would be charter members. We would of course incorporate here in Cali (I did a preliminary search and our name small gesture BIG SMILE is available). Also, we would file for a tax exempt status, 503(c)(3). Of course our mission would enlarge from individuals helping people on an individual basis to a collective helping our community at large. We would have to define our mission and vision but I think it would be just an extension and on a larger scale of what we are already doing. And thats just helping those in our community who are less fortunate and in need. As an example lets try to eradicate and eliminate hunger and homelessness in our community. Again, thats just an example. Well thats somewhat of the big picture and of course there are so many more details I could fill you in on if its something you really want to consider. Just know its going to take a lot of our time and effort to make it happen. If this does peek your interest we can hook up over the weekend and talk more face to face.
