Kevin Schlough posted a very nice picture of the Portland foot bridge earlier. Portland is a very nice little town. Me being a big train fan I had to take a road trip there and photograph the station, as well as the bridge and the beautiful view from there. The arch bridge north of this bridge is an abandoned railroad bridge once owned by the Delaware Lackawanna Railroad. I have some pictures of that bridge and what it now looks like on it if anyone is interested. I took them shortly after I took these photos. It would appear that the 1955 flooding of the Delaware River destroyed a great many historic structures, at least the support columns werent destroyed as well.
