Kevin im so proud High Academy of Health Sciences will provide a rigorous core academic curriculum as well as relevant health science courses. The Health Sciences Academy at Hawthorne High School is a program designed to immerse the high school student in a health science career- oriented curriculum involving a hands- on learning environment, real world experience and technical expertise. The ultimate goal is for students to graduate career and college ready. The implementation of the Hawthorne Academy of Health Sciences will include a career academy structure, high school online courses, college dual enrollment coursework, remediation and acceleration curriculum for advancement in reading and mathematics, a Career and Technical Education program aligned with the region’s economic development, and provide strong student career and college support. Through rigorous academics we will raise student ambitions, increase career options, and provide meaningful learning experiences to prepare all students for the future.
