Key Players To Return RANGERS will be boosted by the return of three key players to the squad for this weekend’s home game against Stenhousemuir at Ibrox. Scotland under-21 midfielder Lewis Macleod is fit to play again after missing Sunday’s 1-0 win at Forfar Athletic with a knee problem. Ian Black is also set to come back into the pool having served a three-match ban for breaking SFA rules on gambling in football. In addition to that, Nicky Clark has overcome a knock he suffered in Tuesday’s 5-1 bounce game win over a Partick Thistle XI at Murray Park. Ally McCoist had been concerned by the former Queen of the South striker and he went off in the first few minutes of that fixture. But Clark was able to train this morning and he is available for selection as Gers get set to welcome Stenny to Ibrox on league business for the first time. The match comes too early for Kyle Hutton, who McCoist has decided to give another week of training before bringing him in again. The midfielder has been missing for the last two months after suffering ankle ligament damage during the pre-season trip to Germany. He played the first half recently against Aberdeen in the SPFL Under-20 League at Dumbarton and also lined up against the Jags three days ago. But while he’s progressing well, McCoist has enough other options to turn to for now and he’s able to afford Hutton more time to build fitness further. French stopper Sebastien Faure also misses the game through injury but Lee Wallace and Lee McCulloch are fit despite suffering minor injuries at Station Park. They have been able to train all week and will be involved but defensive duo Ross Perry and Chris Hegarty are sidelined following ankle operations. Both players are hoping to be in contention to play again towards the end of next month and also moving in the right direction as they continue their rehabilitation.
