Khanday Chairs KGC meet Directs pacing up of course development projects SRINAGAR, JULY 4: The Executive Committee meeting of the heritage Kashmir Golf Club was held Thursday afternoon under the Chairmanship of Chief Secretary Mohammad Iqbal Khanday. The Committee held detailed deliberations on measures for the revival of the Club and took various decisions for improving the overall functioning of the Club. The Chief Secretary directed for pacing up of the project for relaying of fairways, greens, tees and improving the drainage of the course. The meeting was told that tenders in this regard have already been floated and out of the 6 bids received 5 have been found technically qualifying. The Executive Committee decided that re-auctioning of poplar trees at the golf course will be carried out in the coming days. It also appointed Shabir Ahmad Bhat as Joint Secretary of the Club. Matters pertaining to membership, funds, upkeep of courses also came up for discussion in the meeting. The meeting was attended by Principal Secretary to Chief Minister B. B. Vyas, Commissioner Secretary Tourism Atal Dulloo, Director Tourism Talat Parvez, Members, Ali Mohammad Watali, S. R. S Madni, Upenderjit Singh Bali and other members were present in the meeting.
