Khmer people are truly amazing! I was driving home from church today where we learned about being kind to each other and humbling ourselves. I am very grateful to live in Cambodia because most Khmer are humble and kind regardless of their religion. When I was about 5 kilometers away from my home I ran out of gas. I couldnt believe my eyes when I saw that I had stopped right in front of a local gas-station.(just like the last time!) Unfortunately this didnt help because I dont bring my wallet on Sundays. While walking along the road with my motorbike some Khmers offered their help and the owner of the next local gas-station asked me why I wouldnt buy some gasoline? I explained that I am a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and that we avoid spending money on Sundays.( I said: Tny a nee meeun chebab cut loy at bahn.) He then replied: At panha, Kniom Auj which means: No problem I will give you Amazing isnt it? Life in Cambodia (especially when you speak the language) is a true blessing!
